August 18, 2008 - Trojan Horse

Today was weird. Ticks of the clock spinning round and round and going "thwooopoop!" down the drainhole. (The water is thicker here.) So much time goes to waste.

On the way home from the Village of Noir, I played one of these and it made me happy.

I picked up the Kid from school and she said during the conversation,

"I spent all my money."

"...your pocket money?"

"No, my wallet money."

I'm going for a drive.

Maybe she's a sweet peddler...

"I'm telling you it's pure. 100% sweet. Not cut with fruit; not even rasins...

"Mrs. S catches you using this stuff, it didn't come from me, right?!"

Nu, nu. Once it's her money, it's hers. She gets gentle guidance on how money could be saved or well spent but ultimately the decision and consequence is hers.

I was given a bank account of my own at about 9 years old or so, it had a small sum in it and I was told to save or spend as I saw fit, I saved for big things I wanted, and to this day I am a saver.
